BY-LAW NUMBER 3708/91
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 2511, as amended, to partially
implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area, Region of
Durham in Part of Lot 18, Range 3, Broken Front Concession, (Part 2, Plan 40R-2503) in
the Town of Picketing.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering deems it desirable to
amend By-law 2511, as amended, to permit the development of a gymnastics facility in addition
to the industrial uses presently permitted on the subject lands being that part of Lot 18,
Range 3, Broken Front Concession, designated as Part 2, Plan 40R-2503, Pickering;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 251l, as amended, is therefore deemed necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF TI-IE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. TEXT AMENDMENTS
Section 18 of By-law 25ll, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the
following subsection:
18.3.5
Part of Lot 18, Range 3, Broken Front Concession, designated as Part 2,
Plan 40R-2503
(1) For the purpose of this subsection a "gymnastics facility" means a building or part of
a building used for the training of gymnasts and for gymnastic exhibitions.
(2)
Despite the provisions of Section 18.1 hereof, that part of Lot 18, Range 3, Broken
Front Concession, Picketing designated as Part 2, Plan 40R-2503, being the lands
designated "M2S" on Schedule A to By-law 2511, may be used for the purpose of a
gymnastics facility.
(3) The aggregate gross leasable area of all gymnastic facilities on part Lot 18, Range 3,
Broken Front Co,~ces~!on, Pickering designated as Part 2, Plan 40R-2503 l~eing the
lands designated M2S on Schedule A to By-law 2511 shall not exceed 745ma.
8. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
