By-law passed on April 25, 2022 Deadline for appeals May 26, 2022 By-law in full force and effect upon issuance of the affidavit provided no appeals have been received. The Corporation of the City of Pickering By-law No. 7925/22 Being a By-law to amend Zoning By-law 7553/17, as amended, to remove the holding provision “H6” (A 11/21) Whereas Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended, permits a Council to pass a by-law prohibiting the use of land, buildings or structures within a defined area or areas; Whereas Section 36 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended, permits a Council to pass a by-law to specify the use to which lands, buildings or structures may be put at such time in the future as the hold symbol is removed by amendment to the by-law; Whereas Zoning By-law 7553/17 is the governing By-law of The Corporation of the City of Pickering pertaining to the subject lands; Whereas the Council of the Corporation of the City of Pickering has deemed it advisable to amend Zoning By-law 7553/17; Whereas it has been confirmed to Council that all of the conditions required for the removal of the H6 Holding Symbol from the subject lands have been addressed to the satisfaction of the City; and Now therefore the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering enacts as follows: 1.That By-law 7553/17 is hereby further amended as follows: 1.1 Schedule 8 of By-law 7553/17, as amended, is further amended by removing the “H6” Holding symbol for the lands outlined on Schedule I attached hereto. 2.That By-law 7553/17, as amended, is hereby further amended only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law as it applies to the area set out in Schedule I attached hereto. Definitions and subject matters not specifically dealt with in this By-law shall be governed by relevant provisions of By-law 7553/17, as amended. 3.That this By-law shall come into force in accordance with the provisions of the Planning Act.
