By-law No. 7929/22
Being a by-law to appoint Stephen Boyd as Fire Chief of
The Corporation of the City of Pickering
Whereas Subsection 6(1) of the Fire Protection and Prevention Act 1997, S. O. 1997, c.
4, provides that if a fire department is established for a municipality, the Council of the
municipality shall appoint a Fire Chief; and
Now therefore, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Pickering hereby enacts as
follows:
1.That Stephen Boyd is hereby appointed Fire Chief of The Corporation of the City
of Pickering, effective June 1, 2022; and,
2.By-law 7334/14, being a By-law to appoint John Hagg as Fire Chief, is hereby
repealed, effective June 1, 2022.
By-law passed this 25th day of April, 2022.
