BY-LAW NO. 2602 /87
Being a by-law to stop-up part of Redwood Lane
as public highway (Block 37, Plan M-1210,
Picketing ).
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of sections 298(1) and 316(1) of the Municipal
Act, R.S.O. 1980, chapter 302, the council of any municipality may pass by-laws to
stop-up a highway or part thereof and to authorize its sale at a fixed price;
WHEREAS, notice of this by-law has been published once a week for four consecutive
weeks and the provisions of the Municipal Act relating to the stopping-up of a high-
way have been complied with;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
Block 37, Plan M-1210, Pickering, comprising part of Redwood Lane is hereby
stopped-up and closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
The conveyance of Block 37, Plan M-1210, Picketing, to the abutting owners at
a priced fixed at $2.00 plus the Town's legal costs is hereby authorized.
BY-LAW read a first and second time this 26th day of October, 1987.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 16th day of November, 1987.

CONSTRUCTION TRAFFIC
(1)
Phase two construction traffic shall enter the
subdivision only by means of a temporary
entrance, constructed and maintained by the
Owner, aqross Lot 84.
(2)
The provisions of subsection (1) are sub-
ject to the approval of the Regional Municipal-
ity of Durham.
(3)
"Maintained" in subsection (1), above, shall
include such dust control measures as the
Town may from time to time direct to be
carried out.
TEMPORARY PUBLIC ROAD ACCESS
(1)
Subject to the approval of the Regional Munici-
pality of Durham, the Owner at its expense,
shall construct, across Lot 92, a public road
access to the Town's satisfaction, and as if
it were a road shown on the plan of subdivi-
sion, to provide permanent vehicular and
pedestrian access from Finch Avenue.
(2)
The Owner shall convey to the Town, at no cost
to the Town, all lands required by the Town to
implement such access, and upon such conveyance
the Town may dedicate such lands as public high-
way.
(3)
In the event that an alternate public highway
access is constructed over that part of Draft
Plan 18T-79049 immediately west of the lands
affected hereby, the Town shall close as pub-
lic highway any lands dedicated by it pursuant
to subsection (2), and, pursuant to the provi-
sions of The Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1970, c.284,
as amended from time to time, or any successor
thereto~ and all other relevant legislation,
offer same for sale, at a nominal cost, to
the Owner, should it be the owner of the
abutting lots.

BETWEEN HELDOR DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION AND THE TOWN
Note:
Lot and Block references in this agreement were to
draft plan numbers; registered plan numbers were
not'known at date of approval of agreement. Hence,
"Lot 92" in section 3, above, refers to Lot 92 on
the approved draft plan; that lot was re-numbered
"Block 37" when the M-plan for Heldor Phase I was
prepared and registered.
