BY-LAW NO. 4700/95
Being a by-law to amend By-Law 2366/87, designating
parts of Rosebank Road as through highway.
WHEREAS, section I(1) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, chapter H.8, defines "through
highways" as a highway or part of a highway designated as such by the Minister or by by-law of a
municipality and provides that every such highway shall be marked by a stop sign or yield right-of-way
sign in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry; and
WHEREAS By-Law 2366/87, as amended, provides for the designation of certain highways in the Town
of Picketing as through highways; and
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to amend By-Law 2366/87 to designate parts of Rosebm~k Road as
through highway;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule A to By-Law 2366/87, as amended, is hereby further amended by deleting the
following:
Highway From To
Rosebank Road Sheppard Avenue Finch Avenue
(Regional Road 37)
and substituting the following therefor:
, , ,Highway From To
Rosebank Road Sheppard Avenue Strouds Lane
Rosebank Road Strouds Lane Finch Avenue
(Regional Road 37)
2.- This by-law shall not come into force tmless it is approved by the Council of the Regional
Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8,
section 34.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 4th day of December, ! 995.
