Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement
Officers for certain purposes (Paridng Regulation -
1655 and 1665 Picketing Parkway).
Whereas pursuant to the provision of section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990,
chapter PI5, as ~nended, the council of any municipality or trustees of any police village may
appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the
purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village;
NOW THERF. FORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPOP-J~.TION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I. The following persons are hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in
and for the Town of Picketing and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable
times upon lands municipally known as 1655 and 1665 Picketing Parkway, order to
ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry
into effect the said By-law:
Keith P. Melo
Daniel Angel
Joel Genoe
2. The authority granted in section I hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section
I, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section I.
3. This appointment shall expire upon the persons appointed in section I hereof ceasin8
to be an employee of Olympus Security & Investigations Inc. or upon Olympus
Security & Investigations Inc. ceasing to be an authorized agent of 1655 and 1665
Picketing Parkway, whichever shall occur first.
4. By-law 3905/92 is hereby repealed.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 6,th day of March 1995.
