Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement
Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation -
DCC #93 and 106).
Whereas ~t to the provision of section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990,
chapter PIS, na amanded, the counc'd of any municipal/ty or trustees of any police village may
appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the
purpose of anforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
I. The following persons are hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in
and for the Town of Picketing and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable
times upon lands municipally known as Discovery Place Condominiums - Dec ~93
and 106, order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and
to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law:
Commissionaire Kenneth Bowker
Commissionaire Robert James Hackett
2. The authority granted in section I hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section
I, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section I.
3. This appointment shall expire upon the persons appointed in section I hereof ceasing
to be an employee of The Canadian Corps of Commissionaires or upon The Canadian
Corps of Commis$ionaires ceasing to be an authorized agem of DCC #93 and 106,
whichever shall occur first.
4. By-laws 1045/79, 1422/82, 1743/83, 1815/84, 2169/86, 3257/89, 3266/89, 3438/90,
3454/90, 3675/91, 3569/90, 3675/91, 3838/91, 3858/91, 3967/92, 3986/92, 4217/93,
4269/93, 4353/93, 4363/93 and 4374/93 are hereby repealed.
5. By-law 4352/93 is hereby amended by deleting John McArdle and David Ross. By-
law 3962/92 is hereby amended by deleting Steve Campbell, Mark Ribble, Linda
Gordon, Derrick Campbell, Don Campbell and Dave Poulin.
By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 6 th day of Merch 1995.
