HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 4964/97 THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 4964/97 Being a by-law to appoint By-law Enforcement Officers for certain purposes (Parking Regulation - Village At The Pines (DCC 136), 1515 and 1535 Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Picketing Parkway Whereas pursuant to the provision of section 15(1) of the Police Services Act., R.S.O. 1990, chapter P15, as amended, the council of any municipality or trustees of any police village may appoint one or more municipal law enforcement officers who shall be peace officers for the purpose of enforcing the by-laws of the municipality or police village; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following persons be hereby appointed as municipal law enforcement officers in and for the Town of Pickering and are hereby authorized to enter at all reasonable times upon lands municipally known as Village At The Pines (DCC 136), 1515 and 1535 Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Pickering Parkway in order to ascertain whether the provisions of By-law 2359/87 are obeyed and to enforce or carry into effect the said By-law: Harry Cope - Licence #256223 Ryan Picard - Licence #252229 2. The authority granted in section I hereto is specifically limited to that set out in section 1, and shall not be deemed, at any time, to exceed the authority set out in section 1. 3. This appointment shall expire upon the persons appointed in section 1 hereof ceasing to be employees of Group 4 C.P.S. Limited or upon Group 4 C.P.S. Limited ceasing to be an authorized agent of 1525 and 1535 Diefenbaker and 1530 and 1540 Pickering Parkway, Village At The Pines (DCC 136), whichever shall occur first. By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 7th day of April, 1997. Mayor
