BY-LAWNUMBER 4962 /97
Being a By-law to amend (Zoning) By-law 3037, as amended By-law 4827/96 to
implement the Official Plan of the Town of Pickering District Planning Area,
Region of Durham, in Part of Lot 19, Concession 8, in the Town of Picketing.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering passed By-law 3037, as
amended by By-law 4827/96 to zone the subject lands, being Part of Lot 19, Concession 8, in the
Town of Pickering, to permit the establishment of residential detached dwellings on the subject
lands;
AND WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering now deems it
desirable to amend By-law 4827/96, for the purpose of agricultural lands;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Schedule I attached hereto with notations and references shown thereon is hereby
declared to be part of this by-law.
2. SCHEDULE AMENDMENT
Schedule I to By-law 4827/96, is hereby mnended by changing the southern portion of the
lands designated "R6" to "A", as per Schedule I of this By-law.
3. TEXT AMENDMENT
(1) By-law 4827/96 is hereby amended by adding thereto the following:
7. PROVISIONS ("Rural Agricultural Zone A")
No person shall within the lands designated "A" on Schedule I attached hereto,
use any lot or erect, alter or use any building or structure for any purpose except
in accordance with the provisions of Section 6 of By-law 3037.
(2) Section 7 of By-law 4827/96, as amended, is hereby renumbered as Section 8.
(3) Section 8 of By-law 4827/96, as amended, is hereby renumbered as Section 9.
4. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
