BY-LAW NO. 4953/97
Being a by-law to further amend By-law 2632/88 to
provide for the erection of stop signs at certain
intersections within the Town of Pickering.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of section 137 of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chap.
H.8, the cotmcil of a municipality may by by-law provide for the erection of stop signs at intersections
on highways under its jurisdiction;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. Stop signs shall be erected at the intersections of highways set out in Column I, facing the traffic
bound in the direction or directions set out in Column II.
2. Schedule A to By-law 2632/88, as amended, is hereby further amended by adding thereto the
following items:
Column I Column II
Valley Ridge Crescent, Thicket Crescent, Northbound and westbound on Valley Ridge
and Sandcherry Court Crescent, eastbound on Thicket Crescent and
southbound on Sandcherry Court.
Sandcherry Court and Sandcherry Court Eastbound on Sandcherry Court
Sequin Square and Otonabee Drive Eastbound on Sequin Square
Sequin Square and Sequin Square Southbound on Sequin Square
3. This by-law shall not come into force unless it is approved by the Council of the Regional
Municipality of Durham pursuant to the Regional Municipalities Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter R.8,
section 34.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 17th day of March, 1997.
