BY-LAW NO. 4:330/97
Being a by-law to authorize the acquisition of lands
respecting the portion of Ferncliffe Circle, Pickering,
being Part Lot 22, Concession 2, Pickering (Part 2, 40R-
17318.).
WHEREAS, the Town requires lands for the purposes of constructing a future roadway;
WHEREAS, the owners of the land have offered to sell certain lands to the Town for future roadway
purposes;
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990 chapter M.45 section 191(1)
the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Pickering may pass by-laws for acquiring lands for the
purposes of the corporation;
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering HEREBY ENACTS AS
FOLLOWS:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement of Purchase and Sale dated
February 4, 1997 made between the Trustees of the Bay Ridges, Ontario, Congregation of
Jehovah's Witnesses and The Corporation of the Town of Pickering for the purchase of lands
designated as Part 2, Plan 40R-17318, and that the Mayor and Clerk are further authorized to
execute all necessary documentation to give effect to the matters contained in the said agreement.
BY-LAW read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 17th day of February, 1997.
