BY-LAW NUMBER 49 16/97
Being a by-law to amend the Town of Picketing Municipal Code
to fix instalment dates respecting the collection of taxes.
WHEP,,EAS By-law 354/76, enacted by the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Picketing
on January 2, 1976, provides generally for the payment and collection of taxes; and
WHEREAS pursuant to section 3 of By-law 354/76, it is deemed expedient at this time to fix the
due dates for the payment of instalments of 1997 taxes;
NOW THEREFORE the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Picketing HEREBY
ENACTS as follows:
1. Sections 2210.1, 2210.2, 2210.2.1 and 2210.2.2 of the Town of Pickering Municipal Code
are hereby deleted and the following substituted therefore:
2210.1 The Town Treasurer-Tax Collector is hereby authorized to prepare and give
two separate tax notices for 1997 taxes, one notice being an INTERIM notice
with two instalments, and one being a FINAL notice with two instalments.
2210.2 The due dates for the payment of 1997 taxes in instalments are as follows:
2210.2.1 INTERIM Tax Notice
due date of first instalment February 25, 1997
due date of second instalment April 25, 1997
2210.2.2 FINAL Tax Notice
due date of first instalment June 25, 1997
due date of second instalment September 25, 1997
BY-LAW read a first, second and third tune and finally passed this 10 day of February, 1997.
