Department of Municipal Affairs has commented on Township By-Law'

Mr~ Rasins submitted a model of a 22 room motel and restaurant
pr posed by Mrs.Choquette to be built on north-east corner of
Hi~hway 7 and Kinsale Road, and asked for the approval of Council~
As'several members were not familiar with the site and as future
pl~ns for Highway 7 extension east of Green River are not known.
it was agreed to table the request for one week.
2. AGREED G. J. Hunt be heard.

~ Hunt stated he was a resident of Bay Ridges and operated 18
ta~is in West Hill area. He made application for two taxi
lipences so he could operate in West Rouge.
A driver for Temple Taxi told Council that in rush hours there
were always two of his taxis at Lansing and No. 2 Highway to
me+t the buses, and that the ar~a is now completely covered.
He said the 1963 audit report of Temple- taxi showed a loss.

3. MOVED by Mr. Spang, seconded by Mr. Wank. that Murray Russell be
heard. CARRIED
Mr. Russell stated the Pickering Beach Fire Association had rented
the old S. S. 1. Schoolhouse. They practised fire drills, rented
the building two nights a week to the I.O.O.F.. and the balance of
time is available to community efforts. They had installed a
furnace and now asked Council to rebate their taxes. See Resolution
No. 28/64.
