SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
A Special Meeting of the Pickering Town Council was held on Monday, January II, 1999
at 7:30 p.m.

DELEGATIONS
1.
Rick Sergison, 998 Vistula Dr., addressed Council with respect to the issue of
Council remuneration. He stated that he felt Council had a conflict of interest and
should not be voting themselves a raise. If a raise is approved, no adjustment
should be made until the next election. A citizens committee should be formed to
study Council compensation package.

BY -LAWS
That Councillor Johnson seconded by Councillor Dickerson took leave to introduce a by-
law of the Town of Pickering.

THIRD READING:
Councillor Johnson seconded by Councillor Dickerson moved that the report of the
Committee of the Whole on By-law Number 5434/99 be adopted and the said by-law be
now read a third time and PASSED and that the Mayor and Clerk sign the same and the
seal of the Corporation be affixed thereto.
