SUBJECT: Application to conduct carnival
RECOMMENDATION
That the application for a Carnival Licence submitted by Billy G Amusements Inc. to conduct a
carnival at the Town of Pickering parking lot for Pickering Winterfest '99 beginning Friday
December 101h 1999 until Sunday December 12th, 1999 be approved.

FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS:
Total license fees of S 150.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:
To approve application for a carnival licence to be held at the west end of the Esplanade South
parking lot.
BACKGROUND:
Please be advised that 1 have received an application for a Carnival Licence from Billy G
Amusement Inc., 305 Iroquois Avenue, Mississauga, Ontario, to conduct a carnival at the west
end of the Esplanade South parking lot on Friday, December 1&, 1999 to Sunday, December
P, 1999.
In accordance with By -law Number 5479/99 (Carnivals), the applicant has paid the appropriate
licence fee and has provided an insurance certificate in the amount of two million dollars, The
Pickering Winterfesl Committee have the Department's permission, subject to Town Council
approval, to operate a carnival in the west end of the Esplanade parking lot.
I would recommend that Council approve this application as they comply with the terms of By-
law 5479/99.
