MINUTES
A meeting, of the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was held on
Wednesday, November 3, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pickering Civic Complex, Public Works
Meeting Room.

1. Area Meeting

The Committee discussed the feasibility of holding an area meeting to discuss issues such
as inventory. Suggestions put forth included inviting a guest speaker such as Dan
McTeague, M.P., and a joint walking tour of heritage homes..

2. Inventory
The feasibility of hiring a consultant to spend a couple of days reviewing the inventory
provided by Frank Williamson, the TWA and Heritage Pickering and providing suggestions
concerning organizing the inventory was considered. The Committee also considered
hiring a student to organize the present inventory.
3. Willson Designated Grant Application
The designated property grant application submitted by Anna Willson will come before
Council on November 15, 1993.

4. Ontario Heritage Week
Ontario Heritage Week-February 21 - 27, 1994.
5. Official Plan
Dave Pickles suggested that the Committee set objectives, goals and visions for 1994,
review standing committees and establish who will now be Chair of Heritage Pickering.

The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 1, 1993 at 7:00 p.m. in Meeting
Room#1.
