ZetalIerdiriarIZICOnderndieltA1,4071ff Comr, z& • MINUTES A meeting of the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday,June 8, 1994 at 7:00 p.m. in the Pickering Civic Complex, Tower Meeting Room. PRESENT: Kim Thompson Henry Gawman Frank Williamson Janet Mehak Janice Waithe Huberty STAFF: Debbie Kearns, Secretary ABSENT: Enrico Pistritto Dave Pickles Anna Willson 1. 1993 Grant Applications The Secretary advised that those persons who applied for a 1993 Grant and received 43% of the requested amount may reapply in 1994 for the remainder of their Grant. 2. Howell Property Kim Thompson gave an overview of the investigation by herself, Janet Mehak and Taylor - • Young of the Public Works Department, of the Howell property. She advised that Metro may be forwarding an estimate and breakdown of the cost of repairing this building. • • • • i '; -2- 3 Frenchman's Bay Festival Frank Williamson advised that he will be setting up a heritage display for the Frenchman's Bay Festival. 4. 1994 LACAC Budget The Secretary advised that she will forward a copy of the budget and account balance to all committee members. 6. Fund Raising Frank Williamson advised that the Mount Zion Church is holding a pig roasting fund raising event and he inquired whether fund raising would be a possibility for LACAC. 7. LACAC Brochure Frank Williamson advised that the LACAC brochure, with revisions, is now in print. 8. July Meeting The date of the next meeting was discussed. It was pointed out that some members of the committee will be on vacation the beginning of July and the Secretary was directed to place in the minutes a request to all members to please inform her as soon as possible if they will be in attendance at the July 6th meeting. 9. Next Meeting The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 1994 at 7:00 p.m. in Meeting Room #1. If it appears that most members will be away, another date will be arranged. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
