HomeMy WebLinkAboutOctober 4, 1995 HERITAGE PICKERING MINUTES A meeting of the Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was held on Wednesday October 4, 1995, at 7:00 p.m. in the Pickering Civic Complex. Members Attending: Henry Gawman Frank Williamson Louise Wiersma Kim Thompson(Chair, A. Sec.) 1. Minutes of Last Meeting: Moved by Frank, Seconded by Henry, that the minutes of the last meeting be accepted as read. 2. McPherson/Campbell House: A copy of the report to Council was distributed. No date has been set as of yet for the Council agenda. 3. Monica Cook House: The advertisements for the sale and relocation of the Monica Cook house were reviewed. The Toronto Star and New Advertiser ads will appear around the week of October 16th. 4. Woodruff's Tavern: • A letter was sent to the law firm handling the development of the Woodruff s Tavern property. We have not yet received a response. A follow-up letter should be sent if no response received in the near future. 5. Budget: A request for the 1996 budget submission has been received. Kim will follow up with Debbie on the preparation of the 1996 budget. Also, the committee would like to review an up to date •expenditure report. 6. Thompson Grant Application: The bill was submitted for the Thompson grant application. Work has been inspected by Frank Williamson, and met with Frank's approval. Photographs will be submitted asap. 7. Dunbarton Community: Henry suggested that the committee contact the Dunbarton Ratepayers association to initiate a review for a Heritage Conservation District. 8. Cemeteries Report: Henry Gawman submitted a report on Pickering cemeteries. 9. Next Meeting: Wednesday November 1, 1995, 7:00 p.m.
