Minutes
Tuesday, October 21, 1997

1. Heritage Pickering Brochures:
Catherine described layout, paper type and information regarding the brochures.
Committee was in general agreement with work done so far and routes and buildings
chosen for tours. Catherine was to bring brochures to net meeting.
2. Rouge Seniors Centre and inventory Presentations:
Catherine briefly described the The presentations. She then gave a slide presentation
on the Palmer House/Seniors Centre to the Committee.
3. 1997 Budget:
Moved by Dave Pickles and seconded by Karen Emmink that the Committee authorize
Catherine to produce 3 walking tour brochures for hamlets for$980.00.
4. Pickering Archives:
Dennis reported that the Town had space (6' x 4' x 3') available for land registry
documents. The Committee would have to determine who would have access to the
materials. John added that the materials must be collected by June/July of 1999. An
inventory of all documents merged with the Town's would also be required.
5. Proposed Policies and Procedures/ Information Package for new members:
It was decided that the new committee would establish their own. Isa was to contact
Bruce Taylor to find out what materials would be provided for the new committee.
6. Report to Council on recommendations for new committee members:
Isa was to contact Bruce Taylor to find whether or not this measure was advisable.
