HERITAGE PICKERING
MINUTES
A special meeting of the Heritage Pickering Committee was held on
Wednesday, 23 September 1998, at 7: 30 p.m. , at "The Fox" .

1. Letter to Catherine Tredway
John reported that he phoned Catherine on Thursday, 10
September, then followed up with a letter, dated 14
September, which Debbie sent out under town letterhead . The
letter sets out a schedule for the completion of Catherine 's
work for Heritage Pickering.
Two brochures are to be completed by Wednesday, 30 September
1998--500 copies of each. The Inventory is to be completed
by 30 October 1998; and all remaining items in her invoices
235-1997 and 245-1997 are to be finished and in our hands no
later than Wednesday, 25 November 1998 .
2 . Designation of Properties
John stated that we had 52739 .00 left in our budget for
reports . He outlined the houses for which we would like
reports leading toward designation. They are as follows :
1. Palmer-Voss House ( 2101 Valley Farm Road)
Palmer-Tripp House ( 464 Kingston Road)
2 . Woodruff-Mackenzie House
Woodruff-Lamorie House
3. Ann Dinardo 's House ( 470 Whitevale Road)
4 . Cleeve Horne House (8th Concession Roadl
5. Tom Thomson House (9th Concession Road )
After discussion it was decided to approach Unterman-McPhail
to see how many of these homes we could have researched for
the money we have left. Dinardo 's house we may be able to
get the Conservancy to report on.

The motion was made by Karen, seconded by Sats-a-n- that we
spend the money we have left in the budget to get the
reports completed.

3 . Niagara-on-the-Lake CD-ROM
John showed the committee Archinet 's brochure on their CD-
ROM: A Guide to the Building Styles of Niagara-on-the-Lake .
He suggested that it would be worth while getting the CD-ROM
for the committee 's use .
A motion was made by Peter and seconded by Pat that we
purchase a copy of the CD-ROM.
4 . Heritage Pickering Brochure
John reported that we need a new (at least temporary)
general brochure about Heritage Pickering's work . Peter
agreed to work on a brochure with John.
