Executive Summary: In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, every municipality and local board shall pass a procedure by-law for governing the calling, place and proceedings of meetings. The by-law provides for the notification of the meetings of Council. Financial Implications: " There are no financial implications. Discussion: The City of Pickering Procedural By-law provides for governing the calling, place and proceedings of meetings. In accordance with the intent of the Municipal Act, of open, transparent and accountable government, the 2012 meeting schedule is presented in order for public notification to commence.
