Planner.
application,
was given
as outlined in
by Lisa Goodma n ,
Mr. Marcus Cl eewater, representing the appl icant, stated
that the trees on the surroundi ng property are hi gher than
the proposed building and he will ensure that on-site
1 andscapi ng enhances thi s effect. The gradi ng on the
property will ensure than water drains inward and all
garbage disposal will be internal. The Fire Chief
recommends that there be two accesses to the property; one
from Kingston Road and one from Rosebank Road. He has
provided for a covered walkway at the drop off point
adjacent to the bui 1 di ng. There wi 11 be a small parkette
at the north end of the property but he woul d 1 i ke to use
the south parkette for parki ng purposes and in exchange
make the north parkette larger. The proposed building will
be stainless steel and glass and all lighting will be below
the eight foot fence.
3. Mr. Davi d Rei d, representi ng the Rosebank Road North
Ratepayers Associ ation, stated that al though he supports
this application, he is concerned about the effect of a
three storey bui 1 di ng and opposes a four storey buil di ng.
He would also like to have an opportunity to review the
buffering to be provided.
Mrs. Owen Adams, 1411 Rosebank Road, stated that she
supports the application but is concerned about noise
abatement, bufferi ng and accesses. She stated that thi s
project will create more traffic and increase the number of
accidents on Rosebank Road. She would 1 ike to see
appropriate fencing, uninterrupted grading, deflective
lighting and the security lighting should be aimed
downwards. A green space should be provided on the
Rosebank Road frontage and trees both on and off the
property must be protected.
