HomeMy WebLinkAbout02/15/1996 STATUTORY PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING MINUTES _ A Statutory Public Information Meeting was held on Thursday, February 15, 1996 at 7:00 p.m in the Council Chambers. PRESENT: L. Taylor - Manager, Current Operations Division G. McKnight -Planner I (I) ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 15/95 M.R. PATERSON HOLDINGS INC. PART OF LOT 33, CONCESSION 2 (NORTH SIDE OF FINCH AVENUE. WEST OF ALTONA ROAD) 1. An explanation of the application, as outlined in Information Report #1/96, was given by Lynda Taylor, Manager, Current Operations Division. ....... 2. M. Paterson, representing the applicant, stated that the present company status is such that not all the uses he originally requested are still required. He wishes to revise the application to permit storage of equipment only such as lawn mowers, tractors, landscaping equipment, etc. He moved his business from Scarborough to Pickering and attempted to run it for two years but was not successful due to the receSSIOn. 3. Spase Trandovski, 2024 Altona Road, stated that he does not object to the storage of equipment, however, he would object to the storage of sand and gravel because of the noise that would eminate from machinery that would be needed to move this material. 4. Lynda Taylor, Manager, Current Operations Division, advised that Jeff Cole, Planner responsible for this file, will contact Mr. Paterson to discuss the effect of the request to revise the application on the processing of his file. '-' (ll) OFFICIAL PLAN AMENDMENT APPLICATION 95-003/P ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT APPLICATION A 17/95 MET-STAR HOLDINGS LTD. PART OF LOTS 23 AND 24, CONCESSION 1 (SOUTH SIDE OF KINGSTON ROAD. WEST OF LIVERPOOL ROAD 1. The applicant advised that the Information Report correctly outlines the requested rezoning for additional retail uses in compliance with the Town Centre West Land Use and Design Study.
