Reviewed Section 10.0 of the Accessibility Plan:
. Accessibility / Emergency Plan: Emergency plan to be
reviewed and upgraded. Plan still in progress.
Emergency Response Coord. Responsible for this item
to be invited to the Jan. AAC meeting to discuss this item
further.
· ElectionNisually Impaired Voters: Advance Poll was not
organized properly in terms of furniture in the way etc.
Staff not in tune to the needs of the disabled (training
required). More advertising of the services available
should be made available through the CNIB newsletter /
local radio / news advertiser. Disability Awareness
Training should be made available to all front line
municipal staff. A checkmark in the plan but not a great
success - no one was aware of what was available.
· Doors at Recreation Complex due for completion in Dec
2003 - facility staff working on.
· Products and Services - should be looked at by the
AAC. AAC to meet with facility staff Nov. 24/03 to review
accessible doors to be installed at the Civic Com lex I

· Prem advised that due to the October Election that the
new council would be re-appointing committee members
for the next 3 year period.
· Committee members would receive endorsement from
the new council and advised as such.
· Potential for new council representative to the AAC
Committee.
· AAC to continue to meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the
Month.
