PICKERING TOWN MUSEUM BOARD
A meeting of the Pickering Town Museum
Board was held on Tuesday, the 9th day
of July 1974 at 8:00 p.m.

1. ADOPTION OF MINUTES
MOVED by Wm. Clark, seconded by W. Biernacki that
the minutes of the meeting of June 11th 1974 be adopted.

REPORTS
_ The Administrator reported that the :~ide schedule
has been set-up for the month of July.
_ The men are continuing to refinish the furniture on
the L.I.P. programme which ends on July 12th 1974.
3. NEW BUBINESS
Inventory
Thestudents are working in the Museum on the special
grant, and one of them is compiling an index of all
the items in each particular building, This index
will be in the building with information on the contents.
This is in order to help the guides to give information
that they do not remember and when they are asked for it.

the Museum in agreement with Mr. R. Miller.

that Mr. D. McLean set-up the History-in-Action posters
in agreement with Mr. R. Miller. .

that Mr. D. McLean set_up pocket size cards advertising
the Museum and History-in-Action, in agreement with
Mr. R. Miller.

that Mr. R. Miller see to it that people involved in
History-in-Action are contacted.

- The advisibility of having a parade for History-in-
Action was discussed. The Board concluded that a
parade is more trouble than it is worth, and that it
does not contribute positively to the functioning of
History-in-Action.

- In discussing method of procedure it was pointed out
that the Administrator Mr. R. Miller should check the
time cards, and report before they are forwarded on
to the Clerk's Department. The time cards and reports
should be initialed by the Administrator.

The date of the next meeting was set for August 13th
1974, at 8:00 p.m.
