Comments of Acting Secretary Mrs. B. Davies
Mr. Owen presented the plans for the new Museum Site to date,
including a large model, nine maps, four elevations and four
-- artists' concepts. He explained his proposal of three basic
sections or pods, separated by trees and shrubs, demonstrating
the development of building structure and style in this area.
- He will be presenting a report detailing the progress of work
to date at the next Board meeting, prefaced by a precis of
what is encompassed and later a Critical Path Programme for
.- the future.
The members discussed various aspects of the plan and site,
and then moved around to look at each map in detail, staggering
-- on the uneven floors as if at a drunken party, (the renovations,
though impressive, are far from complete,) whereas they did not
even get so much as the cup of tea they have come to expect at
__ meetings in the Municipal Office.
OTHER BUSINESS

The Committee noted that 10 acres of Metro Toronto land previously
discussed is available for leasing for parking for a nominal sum.
