1. Presentation of Progress
Working Groups
Workinq Group #2 - Storm Water Management
David Steele commented on fund raising for Storm Water Management
and stated that a meeting will be arranged with representatives of the City
of Pickering to work out a Master Plan.
Everett Buntsma, Director, Operations and Emergency Services,
distributed copies of a status report from the Division Head, Municipal
Property & Engineering concerning stormwater management initiatives
related to the Frenchman's Bay Watershed. He advised that Terms of
Reference would be prepared and hopefully be brought before Council at
their meeting of August 8th, 2000. He also advised that an application can
be submitted for Storm Water Management.
Workinq Group #4 - Signage and Art
Andrea Graham distributed copies of the Signage/Art Report concerning
Interpretive Signage for the Three-Part Trail System.
The Sub-Committee will prepare a report to submit to the Committee with
a proposed budget for signage of ten sites on the east side and ten sites
of the west side of Frenchman's Bay.
Tom Mohr is speaking with the Federal Government concerning a
historical sign for the west end of the trail adjacent to Scarborough.
Mayor Arthurs suggested that a report be prepared for the Committee
outlining the gap between the project budget and the tender amount.

2. Millennium Project Status - Everett Buntsma
· The project has been approved.
· Construction will begin the first week of July.
· The court yard, sea walls, boardwalk, washrooms and play area will be
construct.
· Parking lot and pathways are going ahead on the west shore side.
3. Liverpool Road South Detailed Design Study Update - Neil Carroll
· Council has approved the elements of the study.
· The Hilts application was approved in principle.
· The Pickering Harbour application was tabled.
4. Other Business
a) Paul White stated that the Rotary Club are very anxious to erect their
sign and would like to be advised of a suitable date.
b) The Horticultural Club wishes to do planting.
c) Mayor Arthurs advised that he had a meeting with Scott concerning the
Rotary Club and its committed funds, project and maintenance.
Everett will be meeting with Scott to discuss expectations and dollar
value. A report will be prepared with this information and forwarded to
Council at their August 8th Council Meeting.
d) Recognition should be given to the Service Clubs.
