BY-LAW NUMBER 29 12/88
Being a By-law to amend Restricted Area (Zoning) By-law 3036, as amended, to
implement the Official Plan of the Town of Picketing District Planning Area, Region of
Durham, in Alt or Part of Lots 15 to 21 and 2# to 33, Plan 228 in the Town of Picketing.

WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering deems it desirable to
amend certain development provisions applicable to the subject lands;
AND WHEREAS an amendment to By-law 3036, as amended, is therefore deemed necessary;
NOV/ THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OP' THE TOV/N OF PICKERING
HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. BY-LAW 3036
By-taw 3036, passed by the Council of the Corporation of the Township (now Town) ol
Picketing on the 3rd day of August 1965, and approved by the Ontario Municipal Board on
the 7th day of October 1966, and amended from time to time, is hereby further amended
only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of Sections 2 hereof.
2. TEXT AMENDMENT
(I) Section 9 of By-law 3036 is hereby further ame~ded by adding thereto the ~ollowing
subsection:
9.3.3.6 Lot 15 to 20 inclusive, Part of Lot 21, Lot 24, Lot 25, Part of Lot 26
to 31 inclusive, Lot 32 and Part of Lot 33, Plan 228
Where any lot or part of a lot within the boundary of the lands diagonally hatched on
Schedule I to By-law /88 is used for a one-family detached dwelling, the front
yard provision of Section 9.2.3 and the provisions of Sections 5.9 and 5.18(a) shall not
apply and the following provisions shall apply:
(i) FRONT YARD DEPTH (minimum): 15.0 metres
(ii) DWELLING HEIGHT (maximum): 9.0 metres
(iii) No part of any attached private garage shall extend more than 2.0 metres
beyond the front wall of the dwelling to which it is attached
(iv) ACCESSORY BUILDINGS:
A no accessory building or part thereof shall be erected in a front yard;
B any accessory building or part thereof erected in a side yard shall comply
with the yard requirements of Section 9.2.3
C any accessory building or part thereof erected in a rear yard shall be
located not less than 1.0 metre from all tot tines
(2) Section 10 of By-law 3036 is hereby further amended by adding thereto the following

(ii) DWELLING HEIGHT (maximum): 9.0 metres
(iii) No part of any attached private garage shall extend more than 2.0 metres
beyond the front wall of the dwelling to which it is attached
(iv) ACCESSORY BUILDINGS

B any accessory building or part thereof erected in a side yard shal[ comply
with the yard requirements oI Section 9.2.3
C any accessory building or part thereof erected in a rear yard shall be
located no1, less than 1.0 metre from all lot lines
3. SCHEDULE I
Schedule 1 attached hereto shall form part of this By-law.
#. EFFECTIVE DATE
This By-law shall take effect from the day of passing hereof subject to the approval of the
Ontario Municipal Board, if required.
