DISPOSITION
THE CORPOPAT ION OF THE TOWA OF PIC KER.ING
BY-LAW "NUPMER 723/77
Being a by-law to amend By-Lace 3822,1'70
respecting the 'operation of noisy
machinery and noises
WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to exempt certain agricultural,
operations from the provisions of By-Law 3821/70, as amended;
NOW ViEREF`ORE THE COURNIC IL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Subsection (a) of section 6 of By-Law Number 11821/70, as
made by section_ 1 of By-Law 497/76, is hereby revoked
and the following substituted therefor:
(a) The provisions of this by-lass= shall not apply to:
(i) any ringing of church or school beds;
(ii) any caseof public convenience or
necessity;
(iii) any parade or public gathering oper-
ating for a limited period of time
under permit of the Town and the
Chief of Police of the Dur'har. Reciona.1
Police Force;
(iv) any signals authorized or reg#t:red b
competent legislation;
(v) any noise originating; fron, or caused
by, the operation of fa=. equipment
or machinery for cultivating, seeding,
crop maintenance or harvesting purposes
on any lands designated for agricultural
uses in Concessions?,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and
9; and
(vi) any declared emergency.
