Being a Restricted Area By-law to implement
the official Plan of the Township (now Town)
of Pickering District Planning Area, Region
of Durham, in Part Lot 20, Concession 1,
Town of Pickering
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering
deems it desirable to permit the establishment of a day care
centre in part of Lot 20, 'Concession l of the Town of Pickering;
AND WHEREAS an Amendment to By-law 3036 is therefore deemed
necessary;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF
PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. By-law 3036, passed by the Council of the Corporation
of the Township (now Town) of Pickering on the 3rd day of
August , 1965, and approved by the Ontario Municipal
Board on the 7th day of October , 1966, and amended
from time to time, is hereby further amended to the extent
necessary to give effect to the provisions of Sections 2 and 3
hereof.
2. TEXT AMENDMENTS
(a) Section 2 of By-law 3036, as amended, is here.,y
further amended by adding thereto the following,
subsection:
2.16 DAY CARE CrNTRE
"Day Care Centre" shall mean a building
or part of a building duly licensed by
the Province of Ontario for use as a
facility for the d-y--time care of not
more than twenty children between the
ages of two years and five years inclusive.
TOWN Or (b) Section 7 of the said By-law is hereby further
PICKERING amended by adding thereto the following subsection:-
APPROVED 7.5.5 Part Lot 20, Concession 1
A Fad) Notwithstanding the provisions of Section 7.1
l hereof, the lands designated A-1 on Schedule
"A" hereto and located in Part cf Lot 20,
Eton , t Concession 1, may be used for the purpose of
a Day Care Centre as defined herein in
accordance with the provisions of Section 7.2.2
hereof.
3. SCHEDULE "A" ALfENDMZNTT
Schedule "A" to By-law 3036, as amended, is hereby further
amended by altering from "A" to "A-1" the zone designation of the
lands designated "A-1" hatched on. Schedule "A" attached hereto
and located in Part of Lot 20, Concession 1.
4; No part of this By-law shall come into force without
the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, but subject to such
approval, this By-law shall take effect from the day of passing
thereof.
