~tl~AS i~ is necessary in ~he public interest that a public highway
should be established ~cross a portion cC lot No. Five in the Ninth
Concession cC the Township cC Pickering~ and that a portion cC original
allowance for road between ~ts four and Five~ in the Ninth Concession
cC the staid Township, not necessary Cot public tr~vel should ~ estopped
or closed up for public use, ~nd that the same should be sold and conveyed.
AND. ~MRM~S it is necessary to effectually and satisfactorily convey the
said portions cC s~id Road allowance to the above named Paul ~wrence and
Richard Ward~ that the Reeve should sign the said deeds of conveyance and
affix the Corporate Seal thereto;
TIIERMFORE the M~icipal Council of the Township of Picketing
CNA~'rS AS FOL~:
irst THAT that portion of ~t No. Five hereinafter descri~d~ shall be and is
he,by erected into and shall constitute a P~blic Highway of this Mun-
icipality. That is to say:
Commencin;~ where a stone mon~ent has been planted at the South-east
angle of the said ~t No. Five~ thence North sixteen deg~es West along
the Mast limit of the said ~t~ 100 chains more or less to the townline
between the To~ships cC Picketing anal ~xbridge; thence South 74 degrees
West 84 links; thence South 10 degrees 28 minutes Mast (b~znetic) 100
chaJns~ more or less to the place of beginnin~ containing by aeff~easure-
ment four acres an{ seventeen one-hundredths cC an acre of land which
to~]ether with that portion of original Road allowance ~sold constitutes
a I[if]hway sixty-six Feet in width.
cond THAT the following parcel, comprising the original Road allowance between
Lots Four and Five in the Ninth Concession of the said Township of Pick-
er]n~ shall l~ and is hereby estopped for public travel.
The above named parcel being describ ed as follows:
Co~encing at the gorth-west angle of ~t No; Four; thence South
1(; degrees East along ~.he ~qest limit thereof 100 chains more or less
to the Minth Concession line; thence North 10 degrees, 28 minutes .4est
(Magnetic), 100 chains~ more or less to the Townline between the Townships
of Pickerin(; anal Uxhridze; thence North 74 de~rees, Mast 8~i links to the
place off beginning.
And the said Joseph 5~orfl{house is hereby authorize~l, instructed, and
empowered to execute a deed off conveyance to the said Paul ~wrence and
the sa]~l Richard ~qard to the parcels respectfully occupied by each oF
them, an.1 affix the oeal of this Corporation to the said conveyance.
All qy-~ws or parts of By-~ws inconsistent with this By-~w ~ and the
same are hereby repealed.
