A By-law to authorize the Reeve and
Clerk to sign agreements between the
Corporation of the Township of Picketing
and certain property owners on whose
land a new dwelling will be built to
replace an old dwelling.
WHEREAS the Corporation of the Township of Picketing
is restricted as to the number of dwellings that can be built
in any one year;
AND WHEREAS the construction of a new dwelling
replacing an old dwelling on the same property would not be
included in the 100 permit quota;
AND WHEREAS it is desirous that the Township protect
itself with respect to the building of a new dwelling by
entering into an agreement with the property owner whereby
the owner within 90 days of the issue to him of ~n occupancy
permit with respect to the said dwelling to be constructed
must remove the dwelling formerly located on said land;
NOW THEREFOP~E the Council of the Corporation of
the Township of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
THAT the Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized to
execute an agreement between the various applicants covering
the demolition of an old dwelling being replaced by a new
dwelling.
READ a FIRST, SECOND and THIRD time and PASSED in open Council
