HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3188THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 3 / K S' being a By-law to authorize the conveyance of certain lands in Lot 27, Range 3, form- erly part of Highway No. 2, to Newman, Pedricks and Crooks WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Pickering has agreed to convey certain lands in Lot 279 Range 3, of the Township of Pickering, formerly part of Highway No. 2 and now vested in the Corporation, to the adjoining owners for the nominal sum of $1.00; AND WHEREAS the adjoining owners have represented to Council that they, the Incumbent and Wardens of St. Paul's on the Hill and Sun Oil Company of Canada have made satisfactory arrangements among themselves to provide a right-of-way from the property owned by Harry A. Newman over the lands owned by Mary Lucy Pedrick and Edward and Lillian Crooks to provide the Congregation of St. Paul's on the Hill with access to the Road Allowance between Township Lots 26 and 27 in Range 3 from the property leased to them by the said Harry A. Newman. NOW THEREFORE BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ENACTED: 1. That the Reeve and Clerk are hereby authorized to exe- cute deeds to Harry A. Newman, Mary Lucy Pedrick and Edward and Lillian Crooks for the parcels of land formerly part of Highway No. 2 and being the parcels of land shown on a survey dated the 10th day of December, 1965 by J.J. Koning, O.L.S., adjoining the southerly limits of the properties owned by the aforesaid Newman, Pedrick and Crooks. 2. That the Clerk of the Township be authorized to re- lease the deeds upon payment of the sum of $1.00 plus the costs incurred by the Township in connection with the survey and legal costs.
