HomeMy WebLinkAboutBy-law 3876/91THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING BY-LAW NUMBER 3876/91 Being a by-law to adopt Amendment Number 69 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering WHEREAS pursuant to the Planning Act, 1983, S.O. 1983, c. 1, subsections 17(6) and 21(1), the Council of the Corporation of the Town of Pickering may by by-law adopt amendments to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, being an official plan, and submit them to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for approval; NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWN OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS: Amendment Number 69 to the District Plan for the Town of Pickering, attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and including the Explanatory Text, is hereby adopted. The Clerk of the Town of Pickering is hereby authorized and directed to submit Amendment Number 69 to the District Plan for the Town of Picketing to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs for approval. This By-law shall come into force and take effect on the day of the final passing hereof. By-law read a first, second and third time and finally passed this 15th day of October 1991. TAYLOR TOWN OF PICKERING APPROVED AS fO FORM Exhibit"A" to By-law 3876/91 AMENDMENT NO. 69 TO THE TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN (LIVERPOOL COMMUNITY PLAN) AMENDMENT NO. 69 TO THE TOWN OF PICKERING DISTRICT PLAN (LIVERPOOL COMMUNITY PLAN) PURPOSE: The purpose of this amendment is to increase the maximum gross leasable retail floor area that is permited on the subject lands from 660 square metres to 1320 square metres. LOCATION: The subject lands are approximately 2.0 hectares in size and are located at the northeast corner of Valley Farm Road and Kingston Road. The lands are generally described as Part of Lot 20, Concession 1, Town of Pickermg. BASIS: The amendment has been determined to be appropriate because it provides additional opportunities to accommodate, within the existing building floor area, those retail uses currently permitted by the zoning by-law. ACTUAL AMENDMENT: The Town of Pickering District Plan (Liverpool Community Plan) is hereby amended by: 1. Replacing in S~ection 5.B.(g)(i) the phase 'shall not exceed 660 square metres with the following: "shall not exceed 1320 square metres" IMPLEMENTATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Pickering District Plan, as amended, regarding the implementation of the Plan shall apply in regard to this Amendment. INTERPRETATION: The provisions set forth in the Town of Picketing District Plan, as amended, regarding the interpretation of the Plan shall apply in regard to this Amendment.
