BY-LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO
UTHORIZE AN APPLICATION TO THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD FOR
N ORDER ENLARGING THE DEFINED GARBAGE AREA IN THE SOUTH ~RT
F THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING.
HEREAS by By-law No. 21~1 of the Compomation of ~e Township of
ickeming passed on the 27th day of February, 1956, a defined area
~s created in the south pamt of the Township of Pickeming ~m the
~llection, memoval and disposal of gambage, ashes and other
~fuse to be camried out by the said Township, the expenses of
~ch collection, memoval and disposal to be defmayed by imposing
special Pate upon all land within the said gambage area;
~D WHEREAS considemable development has taken place amound the
aid gambage amea and owners of certain lands abutting on the said
ambage area have mequested that rheim land be ~cluded in the said
mmbage area;
~D WHEREAS by vimtue of Section 15 of the Municipal Act ~S.O. 1960,
2~9 the said Township may apply to the 0ntamio Municipal Boamd
~m an order enlamging any area in the Township cmeated fop any
~nicipal purpose;
)W THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the
~mpomat~on of the Township of Pickeming as follows:
That the Compomation of the Township of Pickering~and the
same is hemeby authomized to make application to the Ontario
Municipal Board for an omdem enlarging the ~mbage amea defined
in the said By-law No. 21~1 by adding themetothe lands described
in Schedule "A" annexed to this by-law and made part hereof and
for an omdem that the said lands to be included in such enlarged
amea shall be subject to the provisions of By-law No. 21~1 and
shall share the costs of collection~ memoval ~d disposal of
gambage, ashes and othem refuse, such costs to be defmayed by a
special mill rate imposed on the lands in the ~fined amea as
enlamged.

McPherson, 10.25 acres owned by Mr. F.
Hertzberg and 6.5 acres owned by the
Erskine Cemetery.

Lot 8, except 49.88 acres owned by Mrs. E.
McCormack.
