THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PIOKERING

BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2511, as amended.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing deems it desirable to further amend-.the provisions of By-law
Number 2511, as amended.
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Township
of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
A TEXT AMENDMENTS
1. That Section 2.33 be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto after the word "balcony", the words
"basement recreation room or", so that it shall now
read as follows:
2.33 FLOOR AREA
"Floor Area" shall mean the maximum habitable
area contained within the outside walls or
outside finished furred partitions thereof
excluding, in the case of a dwelling, any
private garage, porch, verandah, sunroom,
balcony, basement recreation room or un-
finished attic or~,basement.
2. That Section 2.75.1 be added which shall read as
follows:
2.75.1 TRAILER
"Trailer" shall mean any vehicle so
constructed that it is suitable for
being attached to a motor vehicle for
the purpose of being drawn or propelled
by the motor vehicle, and capable of
being used for the living, sleeping or
eating accommodation of persons, notwith-
standing that such vehicle is Jacked up
or that its running gear is removed.
3. That Section 5.7 be and the same is hereby deleted.
4. That Section 5.2z be amended by adding thereto
paragraphs (e) and (f) as follows:
5.22 (e) No parking shall be permitted in any
front yard in any multiple-family
dwelling zone except in the case of
single-family or semi-detached
structures,
(f) No parking shall be permitted in any
side yard, other than within wholly
enclosed structures, accessable by a
minimum entrance way having an un-
obstructed perpendicular width of
fifteen (15) feet except in the case
of single-family or semi-detached
structures.

5. That Section 6.7 he and the same is hereby deleted
and the following inserted therefor:
Vehicle Parking:
No person shall, in any Residential Zone,
use any lot, buildin~ or structure for the
parking or storage of motor vehicles or
trailers except in accordance with the
following provisions:
a) Definition:
For the purpose of this section a
stationwagon or one-half (1/2) ton
truck shall not be deemed to be a
commercial vehicle.
b) Within Enclosed Buildings:
The owner or occupant of lot, build-
ing or structure in any residential
zone may use any enclosed building or
structure accessory to the main build-
ing or structure erected on the same
lot, for the housing of one (1) trailer,
one (1) commercial vehicle and not more
than three (3) privately owned motor
vehicles.
d) Exterior Parking:
A maximum of three (3) privately owned
motor vehicles and one (1) trailer not
exceeding eighteen (18) feet in length
may be temporarily parked on any lot in
a residential zone.
d) Commercial Vehicles:
The temporary parking of any commercial
vehicle Sb~ll be permitted in a resid~nt--
ial zone for the purpo~ o~ delivering
to or servicing the premises.
6. That Section 6.10 be and the same is hereby deleted
and the following inserted therefor:
6.10 MUNICIPAL SERVICES REQUIRED
No person shall hereafter erect any
building or structure on a lot in any
residential zone, unless such lot is
serviced by a municipal piped water
supply and municipal sanitary sewers
except in the case of:
(a) land located in a one-family
detached dwelling--Second Density
Zone R2;
(b) land located within a registered
plan of subdivision, and designated
as one-family detached dwelling--
Third Density Zone R3 or Fourth
Density Zone R4;
(c)existing lots, as provided for
under Section 6.2.

?. That Section ?.3 be and the same is hereb~ added
as follows:
7.3 EXEMPTION
7.3.1 Part Lot 28, Range 3
Notwithstanding the provisions of Section
7.1 the following property may be used
for the operation of a public hospital
as defined in Section 2.62. in accordance
with the p~ovislons of Section 5.16.
Being part of Lot 28, RaEge 3, Township
of Picketing, County of Ontario; having
a frontage on the east side of Moores'
Road of 329 feet 0 inches, commencing
350 feet south of Hillsview Avenue and
running easterly for the full depth of
Lot 28, containing an area of 10.016
acres.
B That By-law Number 2511 be and the same is hereby repealed
and amended only to the extent necessary to give effect
to the provisions of this By-law.
C - No part of this By-law shall come into force without
the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, but
subject to such approval, the By-law shall take effect
from the day of passing thereof.
