THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING
B -LAW ........
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 1978, as amended.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing deems it desirable to further amend the ~ovfslons of
By-law Number 1978, as amended,
NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the Town-
ship of Picketing ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
A - TEXT AMENDMENTS
1. That Section 5.17 be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto, after the word "verandah" the
words "basement recreation room".
2. That Section 5.31.1 be added which shall teas as
follows:
5.31.1 TRAILER
"Trailer" shall mean any vehicle so
constructed that it is suitable for
being attached to a motor vehicle for
the purpose of being drawn or propelled
by the motor vehicle, and capable of
being used for the living, sleeping or
eating accommodation of persons, not-
withstanding that such vehicle is
Jacked up or that its running gear is
removed.
3. That Section 6.1.13 be added which shall read
as follows:
6.1.13 Vehicle Parking:
No person shall, in any Residential Zone,
use any lot, building or structure for the
parking or sto~age of motor vehicles or
trailers except in accordance with the
following provisions:
a) Definition:
For the purpose of this section a
stationwagon or one-half (1/2) ton
truck shall not be deemed to be a
commercial vehicle.
b) Within Enclosed Buildings:
The owner or occupant of such lot,
building or structure in,any residential
zone may use any enclosed building or
structure accessory to the main build-
ing or structure erected on the same
lot, for the housing of one (1) trailer,
one (1) commercial vehicle and not more
than three (3) privately owned motor
vehicles.

c) Exterior Parking:
A maximum of three (3) privately owned
motor vehicles and one (1) trailer not
exceeding eighteen (18) feet in length
may be temporarily parked on any lot in
a residential zone.
d) Commercial Vehicles:
The temporary parking of any commercial
vehicle shall be permitted in a resident-
ial zone for the purpose of delivering
to or servicing the premises.
SCHEDULE "A" AMENDMENTS
1. That Schedule 'A' be and the same is hereby deleted
and the following inserted therefor:
"All land lying and being in the Township of Picketing,
bounded on the west by the Pickering-Scarborough Town
Line, on the north by the south limit of the MacDonald-
Cartier Freeway (Highway # 401), on the east by the
centre line of the Rouge River and on the south by
Lake Ontario, save and except those portions or
parcels of said land as described in Schedules "B",
"C", "D" and "E" to this By-law.
SCHEDULE "C" AMENDMENTS
1. That items (1) and (2) be and the same are hereby
deleted in their entirety,
2. That item 4 be amended by deleting therefrom Lots
,One to Four inclusive and Lots Nine to Sixteen
inclusive, so that item 4 shall now read:
"~.Lots Five (5) to Eight (8) inclusive~ for
the Township of Pickering.
That By-law Number 1978 be and the same is hereby repealed
and amended only to the extent necessary to give effect
to the provisions of this By-law.
No Dart ~r t~Is ~y-law shall come into force without
the approval of the Ontario Municipal Board, but
subject to such approval, the By-law shall take effect
from the day of passing thereof.
