A by-law for undertaking of the construction
of Water Nain on the allowance for road des-
ignored as Part 6 on Plan WR82 from the south
limit of the road allowance between Range 3, Bro-
ken Front Concession and Concession 1 in the
Township of Picketing to the south limit of the
said Part 6~ and a sanitary sewer with four
connections on the allowance for road known as
Part 6 described above from 110 feet south of
the south limit of the road allowance between
Range 3, Broken Front boncession and Concession
] in the l'ownship T~ Pickering t~ the south
limit of the said Part 6.
As a local improvement under t~e provisions
of the Local Improvement Act R.SoO. 1960, Chap-
ter 223, as amended.
WHERAS the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Picketing may
pass by-laws for undertakiuga work as a local improvement on petition
under the provisions of' Section 7 of the Local Improvement Act, R.SoO.
(1960), Chapter 223, as amended.
AND WHEREAS a petition for the hereinafter described work bas
been received by the said Council dulM si?ned by at least two-thirds in
Bumber of the owners representing ~t least one-half of the Yalue of the
lots liable tO be specially assessed in connection t~erewith.
AND !#H~REAS the Council has caused to be made reports, estinn res
and statements required in connect'ion therewith.
N~g T}!EREFORE T~IE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TO¥!NSHIP OF
PTCKE~ING enacts as follows:
1o That the construction of a water-main and sanitary sewer with four
connections over~ along, through and under those lauds on said
Plan WR-82 designated thereon as Part 6 in accordance with the
report of the engineer of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing dated the 5th. day of June , 196A be undertaken
as a local improvement under the provisions of the Local
Improvement Acto
2o That all and slngular those certain parcels or tracts of land
situate 1Ming and being in the Township of Pickering and County
Lf Ontario and bein~ port of Lot 20, Range 3~ Broken Front
Concession and more particularly described as Parts 3~ ~ 5, 7
and 8 as shown on a plan filed

with the Maetar of Titles for the County off Ontario ~_~_ designated as ~o.
WR-82 be and the same are hereby defined as a~ area to be known as Picker~
~nduatr~% Area ~o. 1 under the provisions of Section 67 of ~e Local
Improvasent Act as amended by Statutes of Ontario, 1960-61, Chapter ~9,
~ 8ection ~.
3. That the entire co~t of the work estimated at $ 9,043 .O0
be assessed and levied on the rateable property in Pickerin~ Industrial
The enginee~ of ~e Corporation do forthwith make or cause to
be ~e such plans, profiles and epecificationm as may be necessary in order
'ho carry out the construction of the said work.
5. That the said work be constructed under the eupe~-~£sion and
~direction of the en~neer off the said Corporation.
6. ~tat the Reeve and Clerk be and the same are hereby authorized
to enter into one or more contracts for the conmt~uction of the said work
~uhJect to the apprOVal of ~ Council to be declared by reenlution.
7. That the Treasurer of the said Corporation may agree with any
~ank or per,on for temporary advances of money to meet the cost of the
said ~ork pending the completion thereof, subject to the approval of this
~ou~il to he declared by rasolution.
8. T~at the cost of the said work be paid as provided for in
iy~ch~ttle "A" to thim by-law, which is hereby incor~orate~ as part ~hereof.
That the said Corporation ~ issue one or more debentures
to pay for the cost of the work when completed to bear interest at such
rate and to be on such terms and cceaditioms as Council may declare by
resolution.
