STREET LIGHTING AREA.
WHEREAS in the opinion of Council certain main arterial streets should
be lighted;
AND WHEREAS the benefit of such lighted streets extends beyond the
abutting frontage;
AND WHEREAS on December 3, 1962, the Council passed Resolution No.
302/62 which directed the Clerk to order the Hydro-Electric Power
Commission to install street lights as follows:
(1) 8 lights on Island Road from East Avenue to Scarbmrough Town-
ship. Estimated cost, $1,000.00o
(2) 6 lights on Rougemount Road from Highway 2 to Toynevale Road.
Estimated cost, $ 775.00.
(3)6 lights on White's Road from Highway 2 to Concession 1.
Estimated cost, $ 825.00.
(4) 12 lights on Liverpool Road from Highway 2 to Concession 1.
Estimated cost, $ 2,700.00.
Total estimated cost - $ 5,800.00.
"and that the costs of such lights be charged against a new proposed
street lighting area comprising all the lands included in School Area
Number 2";
AND WHEREAS the above installations have now been completed;
BE IT T.HEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
~P~cke~ing:

That a street lighting area be created comprising all of School
Area No. 2, more ~articularly described as follows:
all of Lots 15 to 35 inclusive in Ranges 1, 2 and
all of Lots lB, 17 g 18 in Concession 1 south of Canadian National
Railway.
all of Lots 19 to 35 inclusive in Concession 1.
all of the south half of Lots 19 to 25 inclusive in Concession 2.
all of the north half of Lots 20 to 23 inclusive in Concession 2.
2. That the actual costs of installing and maintaining street lights,
as erected on Island Road, Rougemount Road, White's Road and
Liverpool Road, be charged against such area.
