BY-LAW N~ER ~ 1 ~
BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 2~20
WHEREAS the Council of the Township of Pickering deem it desirable
to amend the provisions of By-law Number 2520.
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TO%~NSHIP OF
PICKERING ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. Section 8 of By-law Nu~ber 2520 be and the same is hereby amended
by adding thereto as Section 8.d the following:
"8.& PROFESSIONAL OFFICE EXCEPTION
Nothing in this By-law shall prevent the erection and use of
a building or structure on Lots 67, 68, 69, 70 or 71 of Regis-
tered Plan M-Id as a professional office provided that:
(a) Such building or structure shall have the external
appearance of a one-family detached dwelling.
(b) One (1) parking space shall be provided in the side
or rear yard for each four hundred (&OO) square feet
of professional office space contained in the said
building or structure.
(c)The Area Requirements of Section 7.2 are complied
with.
(d) A professional office shall contain only the offices
of a physician, dentist, lawyer, architect, engineer,
chartered accountant or other similar profession."
2. By-law Number 2520 be and the same is hereby repealed and amended
only to the extent necessary to give effect to the provisions of this By-law.
5. No part of this By-law shall come into force without the approval
of the Ontario Municipal Board, but subject to such approval, the By-law
shall take effect from the~Ay or,he passing thereof.
