WIIEREAS many residents with water meters neglect to return the readings
when required and no person is home during the day,
BE IT 'i'ItEREFORE ENACA'ED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Picke ring
~HAi there be added to By-Law Number 250~ a new clause Number ~9
re a~ing:
"In the event that a meter is not read or returned when requested by
the Township~ then the amount o£ water to be charged for shall be
estimated on the average reading for the same three months the year
previous or~ in the case oC the service being less than one year old,
on the average reading for the previous three months, and the charge
for the water for the period during which the meter cannot be read
shall be based thereon. On no account, however~ shall the charge be
less than the minimum billing based on consumption of 10,000 gallons
in the three month billing period."
