A By-law to acquire an easement
across certain lands in the
Township of Picketing for the
purposes of a sewer forcemain

WHEREAS by Section 333 of The Municipal Act. R.S.O. 1960,
Chapter 249 as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the Township
of Picketing may pass by-laws for entering on land and for acquiring
an easement or other right in the nature of an easement for the purposes
of the said Corporation and more particularly for the purposes of pro-
viding for sewage drainage in the Municipality.
AND WHE~ the said Council deems it desirable that the
said Corporation should acquire an easement for the purposes hereinafter
set out affecting the lands described in Schedule "A" to this by-law·
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF PICKERING HEREBY ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Township of Picketing acquire an easement for the
purposes hereinafter set out affecting the lands described in Schedule
"A" annexed hereto.
2. The purposes for which this easement is to be acquired are
as follows:
To enter on, lay down and construct, alter, inspect, operate,
maintain, repair and replace a forcemain sewer pipeline with works and
supports necessary and incidental thereto together with the right of
ingress and egress with or without vehicles, supplies and equipment at
all times and for all purposes and things necessary for or incidental
to the exercise and enjoyment of the said easement over the lands
described in Schedule "A" to this By-law and over such portions of the
lands adjacent thereto from the highways or lands abutting thereon to
and from places where the said forcemain sewer pipeline and works and
supports incidental thereto are to be constructed, altered, inspected,
operated, maintained, repaired and replaced as aforesaid.
3. No person shall without the written consent of the said
Corporation erect or permit to be erected any structure whatsoever on
the lands described in Schedule "A" hereto.
