A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE AN APPLICATION TO THE ONTARIO MUNICIPAL BOARD
FOR AN ORDER TO CHANGE CERTAIN WARD BOUNDARIES IN THE TOWNSHIP OF
PICKERING.
WHEREAS by By-Law Number 2160 of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing passed on the 3rd day of April~ 1956, the Township was
divided into five Wards;
AND WHEREAS the Ward line between Wards 3 and 4 is between Lots 21
and 22, and 1200 houses are now being built on these two lots with
houses being partially in two Wards;
AND WHE...R~AS this subdivision~ when complete~ will house nearly 10,000
people and as additional wards are not desirable, Council deem it
advisable to divide the Bay Ridges Subdivision as near as possible
equally between Wards 3 and 4;
AND WHEREAS by virtue of Section 13 of the Municipal Act C. 249,
the said Township may apply to the Ontario Municipal Board for an
Order to redivide Wards;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Corporation
~C the Township of Picketing as follows:
THAT the Corporation of the Township of Picketing be and the same
is hereby authorized to make application to the Ontario Municipal
Board for an order to enlarge Ward 3 defined in said By-Law No.
2160 by adding thereto the lands described in Schedule ~A~ annexed
to this By-Law and made part thereof, and to exclude such lands from
Ward 4.

ALL of Lots~t 22, 23 and 24, which lie south of Highway
401 in Broken Front, Ranges 2, 3 and Concession 1, save and
except that portion of Lot 24, which lies west of the "Gap
at Frenchman's Bay.
