A BY-LAW OF THE C0ttP0nATION OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKEnlNG TO DESIGNATE
A PAnT OF THE FIFTH CONCESSION LINE IN THE TOWNSHIP OF PIGKE~ING AS A
CLASS "B" nOAD.
WHEREAS the Fifth Concession Line of the Corporation of the Township of
Picketing between Sideline between Lots 30 an~ 31 and the westerly limit
of Lot 35 has been har~ surface4 with a coat of asphalt, commonly known
as "black top", and un,er Section 34, Sub-Section 1 of the Highway
, Traffic Act is automatically designated as a Class "A" road;
AND WHEREAS the sai~ hard surfaced roa~ opposite the west part of Lot 32,
anq all of Lots 33, 34, 35, is almost completely broken up due to heavy
traffic and frost boils anq that opposite Lots 31 and part of LOt 32
comprise two steep hills;
AND WHEREAS un,er Section 34 of the Highway Traffic Act the Minister may
designate certain hard surfaced roads as Class "B" roads;
BE IT THEBEFOI~ ENACTED by the Municipal Corporation o£ the Township
of Picketing that:
The Fifth Concession Line fPom Sideline between Lots 30 and 31 to
the westerly limit of Lot 35 be and the same is hereby declare4 a
Class "B" road.
(2) The By-Law shall become effective when approve4 by the Minister of
the Department of Highways of Ontario and proper signs erecte~
stating this section of the road to be a Class "B" road.
