A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO AUTHORIZE THE REEVE AND CLERK
TO SIGN, ON BEHALF OF THE TOWNSHIP, CERTAIN AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE
TOWNSHIP AND CRUSADER ET AL.
WHEREAS on May 4, 1959, Council passed By-Law Number 2409, which
authorized the Reeve and Clerk to sign an agreement with Crusader
Development Corporation Limited with respect to a proposed subdivision
at Frenchman's Bay;
AND WHEREAS on September 25, 1959, Council passed By-Law Number 2440,
which authorized the Reeve and Clerk to sign an agreement amending the
aforesaid agreement between the Township and Crusader Development
Corporation•T,imited;
AND WHEREAS Crusader Development Corporation Limited now desires to
assign its interest in the aforesaid agreement to Resources Land
Co-Operative Corporation ;
AND WHEREAS such assignment requires the consent of the Township of
Pickering;
AND WHEREAS Crusader Development Corporation Limited, Resources Land
Co-Operative Corporation, and Consolidated Building Corporation have
agreed in consequence of the Township giving the aforesaid consent to
enter into a guarantee agreement with the Township;
AND WHEREAS it is considered desirable that the Township should sign
the aforesaid consent and the aforesaid guarantee agreement;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering that the Reeve and Clerk be hereby authorized to sign, on
behalf of the Township of Pickering, an agreement, as prepared by our
Solicitor, dated November 2, 1959, between Crusader Development
Corporation Limited, Resources Land Co-Operative Corporation, Consolidated
Building Corporation, and the Corporation of the Township of Pickering.
AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED that the Reeve and Clerk are further authorized
to sign, on behalf of the Township of Pickering an agreement dated
November 2, 1959, between Crusader Development Corporation, Resources
Land Co-Operative Corporation, and the Corporation of the Township of
Pickering. ?/
