A By-law concerning the desirability of an
eight-inch (8") watermain along East Avenue
and Highway No. 2.
WHerEAS the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the
Township of Pickering by a two-thirds majority deems it desirable that
the construction of a watermain umber certain highways in the said
i~?~ Township as hereinafter set out be undertaken as a local ~mprovement
under the prowismons of Section 8 of The Local Improvement Act, R.S.O.,
1950, Chapter 215 as amended:
NOW TH~EFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of
the Township of Picketing enacts as follows:-
(1) That it is desirable that the construction of an eight-inch (8")
watermain along East Avenue from Island Road to Highway No. 2 and thence
along Highway No. 2 from East Avenue to a point one thousand one hmndred
and fifteen feet (1,115') west of the west street line of East Avenue
at a total estimated cost of Seventeen thousand, seven hundred dollars,
($17,700.00) with an estimated lifetime of twenty-one years be undertaken
as a local improvement under The Local Improvement Act, R.S.O., 1950,
Chapter 215 as amended.. · . .
