A BY-LAW OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO LICENSE BOARDING HOMES.
WHEREAS the Local Board of Health have requested that Council license
Boarding Homes so they will have authority to inspect;
BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of
Pickering:
1. All homes used as Boarding Homes shall be licensed by the Local
Medical Officer of Health.
;. A Boarding Home shall be deemed such when two or more persons are
housed and fed and charged a sum of money for such service.
3. The license fee for a Boarding Home shall be One Dollar (#1.00)
per year and shall commence on the date this By-Law is passed
with no deduction for the part of year lapsed.
BY-LAW read a First and Second time this 30 day of April 1956
BY-LAW read a Third time and PASSED this 30 day of April 1956
