A BY-LAW OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF THE TOWNSHIP OF PICKERING TO REGTTLATE
THE COMPOSITION OF WELL AND CISTERN TOPS.
BE IT ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township of Pickering
that:
Af,1 . All well or cistern tops or covers must be made of concrete with
a mixture of not less than four parts gravel and one part cement,
and be at least ;4,-r? inches thick and reinforced with steel.
2. All well or cistern tops or covers with a greater diameter than
71 four feet shall be subject to the By-Law Enforcement Officer's
approval.
f;l 3• This By-Law shall become effective on the date of its passing.
4. Any person convicted of a breach of any of the provisions of this
By-Law shall forfeit and pay at the discretion of the convicting
Magistrate, a penalty not exceeding the sum of Ten Dollars (tlO.00)
for each offence, exclusive of costs.
