WHEREAS it will require the sum of from that part of
the Municipality of the Township of Piclering apart from the Police
Villages of Pickering; and Claremont, for the improvement and repair
of roads and bridges, the pa,Tment of salaries and the general expenses
of the Municipality, in the year 1952;

AND WFERPAS it will require the sum of X3 9 to defray the
F,eneralepenses of the Police Village of PickerinET_ and to cover the
share of the Police ITIlla-e in sundry services and expenses of the
Punicipality durinm the said year;

the Municipality durin,- the said year.

AND WHEREAS the County Council of the County of Ontario will require
the levq And collection from and upon all the rateable property in
the Municipality of the Township of Pickering,, in the year 1952, of?

pality, apart from the Police Villages of Pickering and Claremont,
in the year 1952, is $7,538,W-50;
AND WHEREAS the total amount of taxable property in the said Police
Vi of Pickerin , in the said year, is 1588,855.08;
AND WHEREAS the total amount of taxable property in the said Police
Vilge oS Claremont, in the said year, is 31f,356.27;
AND WHEREAS the Township of Ptckerin7 Hir*,h School Board has re-
quis -ion-ed 3--v 'Le //. 9 $ for High School purposes in the year
1952, and such requisition shall be levied over the whole of the
said Township.
AND WF7:RFAS the total amount of taxable property in the said Munici-
pa? Ttfv,-including- all portions thereof, in the said year 1952, is
the sum of 48,492,159.85;

BE IT THEREFORE ENACTED BY THE MUNICIPAL CORPORATION OF THE TOWNSHIP
OF PICKFRING:
1, That there be raised, levied and collected from and upon all
the rateable property in the Municipality of the township of
Pickering, exclusive of the Police Villages of Pickering and
Claremont, that rate or sum of /°-ff*' Mills on the Dollar
which will amount to the sum of_ _ y for the im-
provement and repair of roads andd bridges, the payment of
salaries and the general expenses of the Municipality in the
year 1952, as stated in the preamble of this By-Law.
2. That there be raised, levied and collected from and upon

all the taxable property in the Police

in the year 1952, the rate or stun of /e'l`f Mills on the
Dollar, which will amount to the sum of 3 for the
purposes of the said Village and Township, % s ated in the
said preamble.
3. That there be raised, levied and collected from and upon
all the rateable property in the Police Village of Claremont,
in the year 1952, the rate or stun of/0-Se- Mills on the Dollar,
which will amount to the sum of 15?? for the purposes
of the said Village and Township, as stated in the said pre-
amble.
That there be raised, levied and collected from and upon all
the rateable property in the said Municipality of the Town-
ship of Pickering, including; the said Police Villages of Pick-
ering and Claremont, in the year 19;2, the rate or sum of

5. That there be raised, levied and collected from and upon
all the rateable property in the said Municipality of the
Township of Pickering, including the said Police Villages
of Pickering and Claremont, in the vear 1952, the rate or
tl sum of Mills on the Lollar, which will amount to the

ation o the ounty of Ontario, including maintenance and
'1 improvement of County and Suburban roads, in the said year,

all the rateable property in the said runicipality of the
Townshin of Pickering, including the Police Villages of
Pickering and Claremont, in the vear 1952, the rate or sum

High School Board to operate Claremont and Pickering Hieh
Schools, to nay fees of pupils attending High Schools not;
