AND WHEREAS no person or persons have appeared before this Council
registering disapproval of the closing of said road allowance.
BE IT THEREFOPE ENACTED by the Municipal Council of the Township
o Pickering:-
1. THAT all and singular that certain parcel or tract of land and
premises situate, lying and being in the Village of Claremont, Township
?. of Pickering, County of Ontario, being composed of part of MARY STREET
according to Tracy's Registered Plan East of the Brock Road, said
parcel. or tract being more particularly described as follows :-
Firstly, that part of Mary Street lying immediately south
of Lots 6 and 7 according to said Tracy Registered Plan
and extending from the south-east limit of Front Street on
the West to the southerly production of the east limit of
Lot 7 according to said plan, on the east; and
Secondly, that part of Mary Street described as follows:-
COMMENCIF-T at the south-east angle of said Lot 7. THENCE
northerly in and along the westerly limit of Mary Street
8 feet 3 inches to a point. THENCE north 75 degrees 49
minutes east 21 feet 10 inches to a stake planted.
THENCE south 27 degrees 29 minutes East 25 feet more or
less to the intersection with the easterly limit of Mary
Street. THENCE southerly in and along the said limit
of Mary Street 16 feet more or less to an angle in said
street, THENCE westerly in and along the southerly limit
of Mary Street 29 feet flinches more or less to the
intersection of said limit with the southerly production
of the easterly limit of said Lot 7. THENCE northerly
in and along said southerly production 29 feet 8 inches
more or less to the place of beginning.
be and the same is hereby stopped up and closed as a public highway,
and is hereby declared to be no longer a public highway.
2. WHEN this By-law shall have been duly confirmed and approved,
the said allowance for road shall be sold in a manner as directed
'*YP AA and required by law and for a price that shall be satisfactory to
the Council of the Corporation, and on sale thereof shall be deeded
to the purchaser.

3Y-LAW for stopping up and sale of a certain road allowance in the
Township of Pickering.
P" WHEREAS the Tracy Plan in the Police Village of Claremont is
?-" registered in the Registry 0£fice of the County of Ontario, and
the records of the said Registry Office state that MARY STREET is
a Township Road although same has never been opened and parts of
several buildings are located thereon.
AND WHEREAS notices of intention to close said road allowance have
appearedd in the local newspaper for four consecutive weeks immediately
prior to the passing of this By-law, as well as notices posted in the
immediate vicinity; notices to persons whose property may be affected
by said closing and to the Trustees of the Police Village of Claremont.
